1.1 Background Statement Smartminds Initiative for Young Entrepreneurs is a Non-Governmental Organization Association (SIYE) that was founded on 29th May, 2020. SIYE was established with the mandate of capacity building for young people from 14 years and above. In reality, the organization seeks to reduce and eradicate human suffering by responding to the physical and emotional needs of youths. The headquarters of Smartminds Initiative for Young Entrepreneurs is located at No. E85, Lungi Barrack Multi-Purpose International Market, Maitama Extension, Abuja, Nigeria.
Executive Summary Smartminds Initiative for Young Entrepreneurs is one of the established organizations that seeks to address psychosocial and economic problems among youths in Nigeria and its neighbouring countries. SIYE is currently implementing its activities in FCT Abuja and is looking forward to expanding to other districts through various training programs. Youths are taught different skills including: Video & Photography Video & Photo Editing Graphics Design E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Soap Making Environmental Management Make-up & Fashion Design Knitting Hair Conditioner Making Air Freshener Making Body Perfume Making Hair Cream Making Toilet Hypo Making Entrepreneurship and other related skills After the training, participants are expected to be able to produce good-quality products, leading to an increase in Gross Domestic Product and profitability. Secondly, they will be able to work effectively within their communities, contribute constructively to development, and create jobs among themselves.
